Finland

Mario and I headed to Finland for a few days of fun in the Arctic snow! Finland makes country 34 worldwide for me! We would be flying to the Lapland region and staying in Rovaniemi.

Krakow in December

I love having the opportunity to revisit cities in different seasons. I have previous visited Krakow in July, but this time I will be exploring it in December. I took an early morning flight out of Stuttgart heading towards Krakow, with a small layover in Frankfurt.

Hamburg

Mario, the dogs and I spent Thanksgiving weekend exploring northern Germany. We visited the cities of Hamburg and Bremen. We left Thanksgiving morning and drive towards Hamburg, which was about 7.5 hours from the house.

Weekend Gateway to the UK

I never pass on an opportunity to visit the UK. This time I would be traveling to Westbury, which is 2 hours west of London and Bath for a quick weekend with a friend.

Mainz, Germany

Norway

Mario and I headed to the land of the midnight sun. Norway makes country 32 worldwide. Since Norway has lots to explore, we decided to explore the lower section of Norway. We started in Oslo, with a stop in Flam and then onward to Bergen. The forecast called for rain everyday, but we lucked out and had a few nice days. We can’t always have sunny skies when traveling. I definitely plan on coming back to see more of the Norwegian country side.

Bratislava, Slovakia

Prague, Czech

Italy

As I reflect on the past year, it’s crazy to believe we spent most of it in lockdown status. Pretty much everything was closed except essential stores like groceries store and pharmacies. After this long year, things are finally opening here in Germany, which means borders are open, so we can travel again!

Austria

It has been 4 months since we went on our last adventure, which seem like forever ago. Things have somewhat calmed a bit here, so borders have reopened so we can travel within the EU.

Esslingen Christmas Market

Tis the season for Christmas Markets. It has been four years since I have been to Esslingen Christmas Market, so a friend and I decided to go.
