We left Stuttgart on an early morning flight and headed towards Heathrow airport. It has been years since I have flew into Heathrow. Passport control was quick and simple. On the route home we stop at Windsor. Since we have both toured the castle we walked around the town before getting back into the car. On the way we passed Stonehenge. That evening we headed to Longleat located in Warminster, a short distance from where I was staying. One can tour the manor and visit the safari park. But this time of year they have a yearly light festival featuring a different themes. This year it was the Wondrous World of Roald Dahl. The festival features 11 different Roald Dahl books. The detail was incredible and the pictures don't do it justice. You travel around the grounds in a figure eight ending at the stable yard which yielded a 20 metre tall tree. Every 20 minutes there was a Christmas tree show, which was incredible. The next day I traveled to Bath by train. It was only a 25 minutes train ride from where I was staying and super crowded for being a Saturday morning. My friend and I walked around and did some shopping. When in the UK you gotta buy some tea! Then we got our tickets to tour the Roman Bath. Then ate some fish an chips. Then walked to the Circus and Pulteney Bridge. We were planning on touring the inside of the cathedral but the line was super long. So we opted to head to the train station, where we booked our train ticket home. Our train was delayed and when it arrived it was super crowded, standing room only. The next morning on the way to the airport we stopped at the White Horse, which is white horse on the hill side. There are other around the area. It was super windy on top of the hill but provided amazing views of the surrounding areas. I tried to take the information board but it was super hard to read. From there we headed to the airport. We arrived at the airport to find long security lines but they moved quickly and we were through in about 45 minutes. This gave us enough time eat a quick dinner and do some shopping in the Harry Potter store. Another great trip in the books!
