After all the moving I had done over the years, you would think I would be use to it, but it doesn't get any easier. It is still stressful, especially when you do it in a little over two months and your moving everything and everyone overseas. I love traveling, the dogs and I make road trips home to Ohio every summer, but the thought of flying with two dogs for an 12+ hour flight and packing for the unknown has me a little stressed! I have been researching and reading fellow military wife blogs but I don’t think you can truly prepare. So all I can do is take each day as it comes and prepare as much as I can. I also will be praying for strength every step of the way. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 I have slowly been getting things in order for the trip. I have downsized numerous times (Goodwill loves me), scheduled the movers, made a dozen to do lists and ordered things we need. I got both dogs a ThunderShirt to help with their anxiety, at this point they are slowly warming up, but they still aren't fans. Every time Trooper wear his, he runs and hides under the blanket on the couch. Another new item, is a new airplane carrier for Trooper. He hates that too!

A friend of mine gave me the idea of creating a blog, so I can share all the adventures Mario and I have while stationed in Germany. Yep, you heard me Germany! We are heading to Stuttgart, Germany in October for the next few years.
The hardest struggle with creating a blog is coming up with the name. I chose the Footprints We Leave, because no matter where the military or life takes us we leave footprints behind. Mario and I just celebrated our 7th year anniversary a few days ago and in those seven years, we have lived in North Carolina, Kansas, Virginia, Colorado and now Germany. We are excited and looking forward to the adventures and memories we will make while over there. Join us on our European adventures. |
