Tis the season for Christmas markets, one of my favorite times of the year. Last weekend a friend and I headed to Maulbronn which is about a 45 min drive from the house. It is home to the Maulbronn Monastery which is the former Roman Catholic Cistercian Abbey and Protestant seminary. As in winter the weather is unpredictable, with snow arriving at anytime. We arrived at the market a little before it open so we can find parking, hoping for a cloudy, cold winter day, within 30 minutes of exploring the market it turn into a white out blizzard which was pretty, but make cleaning the car off and driving home an extra chore. We didn't go inside the monastery but go some pictures of the outside.
