I headed to London over Thanksgiving break. This was time number three but still one of my favorite places to visit. The weather was cool and windy at times but all in all pretty nice weather for end of November. I headed to London Wednesday night after work with a friend and her two girls. We arrived late evening and spent the night at a hotel connected to the airport. Happy Thanksgiving! The next morning we took the train into the city, which was about 30 minutes from the airport. From there we purchased a Oyster card which was a pre paid tube card which you just swiped as you entered and exit the train station. This was much easier than buying a ticket every time we rode the train. After dropping our luggage off at the hotel we headed to Westminster. We crossed the Westminster bridge and saw Big Ben, London Eye and Parliament. Big Ben was being fixed but still could see it. After a quick lunch we explored Westminster Abbey. Later that evening we took the tube to Piccadilly Circus where we ate at Planet Hollywood for dinner. Then headed to the Prince Edward Theatre to see an evening showing of Aladdin. Friday was the big day, we were heading to the Harry Potter Experience, which is the sets and real props from the movies. I am a huge fan and was very excited to go since last summer when I was there I didn't have enough time. We took three trains and a double decker bus and finally arrived at Warner Bros Studio Tour. We were told the average amount of time spent was 3 to 13 hours. We spent about around 4hrs. I tried the butter beer which was super yummy and I even rode a broom! On Saturday we went to the Shrek Adventure, which is housed in the County Hall. After a quick lunch we headed to Natural History Museum, which is free and explored some of the exhibits. From there we walked to headed to Harrods which was super packed! From there we explored Leicester square which is full of store and restaurants and then had dinner at an Italian restaurant by our hotel. On Sunday morning we left London, we took two trains to the airport and finally arrived at our gate. Another great trip in the books!
