Krakow in December
Weekend Gateway to the UK
Mario and I headed to the land of the midnight sun. Norway makes 28th country worldwide. Since Norway has lots to explore, we decided to explore the lower section of Norway. We started in Oslo, with a stop in Flam and then onward to Bergen. The forecast called for rain everyday, but we lucked out and had a few nice days. We can’t always have sunny skies when traveling. I definitely plan on coming back to see more of the Norwegian country side.
Mario, the dogs and I headed to Bratislava, Slovakia. Slovakia makes country #7 for the dogs and European country #24 for me.
Mario, the dogs and I headed to Prague for a quick weekend. We have been there before but it has been about 4 years. With Covid still going strong in Europe, many countries have entry requirements for travelers
Over Labor Day weekend, Mario, the dogs and I headed to Garmisch. We have visited Garmisch before, but there was more we needed to see, so we needed to go back.
As I reflect on the past year, it’s crazy to believe we spent most of it in lockdown status. Pretty much everything was closed except essential stores like groceries store and pharmacies. After this long year, things are finally opening here in Germany, which means borders are open, so we can travel again!
It has been 4 months since we went on our last adventure, which seem like forever ago. Things have somewhat calmed a bit here, so borders have reopened so we can travel within the EU.
With COVID 19 halting my travel plans and life for that matter, I am adjusting to working from home and balancing my time between Grad School and my to do list.
What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend than crossing another country off our list. Ukraine makes country #27 worldwide and #22 European countries for me. Mario and I traveled to Kiev or Kyiv, Ukraine.
A teacher who loves traveling the world.
